Vibrant garnet in color with a slight purple edge with heady aromas of cherry, crème de cassis, black raspberry, Santa Rosa plum and spice box. The palate is velvety-textured, showing layers of blackberry liqueur, bakers chocolate, graphite and sage, all kept in balance by fine-grained tannins and beautiful acidity. These grapes are grown in the Sierra Foothills of Calaveras County San Andreas, California at 1,000 elevation.
