Jeff became interested in wines from his father who always had a nice collection and shared them with him at the dinner table. Those experiences led Jeff to managing fine dining restaurants during college where his interest in wine took off.
In 1998 he received a B.A. in Biology from University of Kansas.
Continuing his education, he received a M.S. in Viticulture & Enology from CSU-Fresno in 2004. Jeff is the 1st person in U.S. history to have this degree of combined disciplines. He received the Graduate Student Achievement Award from the Viticulture & Enology Department as well as the Andre Tchelistcheff Scholarship Award in 2004.
Jeff made a presentation about high density fermentations at ASEV Conference in San Diego, CA 2004.
Jeff has been on winemaking teams for: Fresno State Winery - Fresno, Quady Winery - Madera, Stonehouse Vineyards and Winery - Shenandoah Valley, Beaulieu Vineyard- Napa Valley, Rutherford Hill - Napa Valley, Michael David - Lodi.
In his spare time he plays guitar and enjoys surfing, snorkeling, snow skiing, training for triathlons and being a dad.
