History

Daviana Winery grew from a purchase of “Your Own Backyard Vineyard” auction item at a Montessori Wine Auction Benefit in 1999.  Thus the quiet seed of Daviana Winery began to grow with 233 vines of Cabernet Sauvignon.  Tim began taking every course about winemaking and vineyard management available.  By the third leaf of the vineyard he was on his way.  Friends said, “This is great wine, you should be selling it!”

Deb has her degree in Public Relations and Communications along with a focus on Marketing and Sales.  It was a perfect pairing; Tim, winemaker and Deb, Marketing and Sales.  Voila…  Daviana was conceived.

Our Darrin Family Vineyards, which is the parent company of Daviana Winery, is comprised of 9 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Grenache grapes. The vineyards are set in the rolling foothills of Mt. George in the Coombsville AVA (American Viticultural Area). Coombsville AVA is the 16th designated Napa Vally AVA. We have sold the majority of these grapes to Duckhorn Vineyards since 2002. Since 2008, renowned winemaker, Andy Erickson has also purchased our Cabernet Franc and some Cabernet Sauvignon. As the passion of winemaking has grown for us we have increased the production of our artisanal winery project by keeping several tons of grapes from our established estate vineyards. The story continues to unfold as the direct sales of our wines lead us along.
